The brief
Handball is the second-most-played team sport in the world but had no purpose-built fan app. We took the bet, shipped a public beta during the EHF Euro, and onboarded the federation as a partner six months later.
The challenge
Live data from 14 different leagues, no canonical feed, fans on bad networks across three continents, and a federation that wanted official data parity within the same app.
Our solution
Event-sourced ingestion that normalises feeds from every league, edge fan-out via Cloudflare Workers for sub-100ms updates worldwide, and a fantasy engine flexible enough to support seven different scoring rule sets.
